The area originally served as a dairy farm, then transformed into the El Tivoli Country Club, owned by the Catholic Diocese. After World War II, the area was redeveloped to house Navy personnel stationed in nearby Grand Prairie, giving rise to the mid-century brick homes and quiet residential character that define the neighborhood today.
